Our client was Dusk Wave Arts, a company that tells diverse stories through comics and games.
They came to our team to help them develop a design toolkit for the core elements of a game based on proprietary IP that contains elements of precision and momentum gameplay.
My role on this team was primarily as the Character Fashion Designer, tasked with designing a new outfit for the main character, Tim, to wear during the events of the game. The rest of the team consisted of a game designer, project manager, creature designer, and two developers.
Below you will see the final 6-layer character turnaround, followed by my design process including fashion, pose, and colour ideation and client feedback implementation. Click on any image to expand.

Fashion Ideation
The client wanted the designs to be kingdom hearts inspired, so after researching, taking notes, and creating and ingesting a moodboard, I started designing.

The first three designs on the above left were what came out of my initial design session, and the designs next to them are adjustments made according to client feedback, such as adding sleeves and knee details, big shoes, adding pants, removing leggings and shoe laces.
Keeping this initial feedback in mind, I continued to ideate.
